Job Title: Customer Service / Sales Support Representative

Reports to: Customer Service Manager

Summary Job Description:

This Customer Service position requires active participation in all aspects of customer service for a distribution company of approximately 20 employees. The position will assist existing and potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services, process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. They will also work with Account Managers and Field Representatives supplying support and information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls, route or respond accordingly.
  • Respond to voicemails and e-mails within 24 hours.
  • Process and confirm orders received via fax, e-mail, EDI, and phone.
  • Prepare and send invoices via mail, fax, e-mail, and EDI. (as required by Management)
  • Process credit card transactions.
  • Support and work in close cooperation with Bowman’s internal sales team.
  • Support Bowman’s independent sales rep channel by providing product information, pricing, samples and product literature as needed.
  • Work in close cooperation with Dispenser Production/Warehouse/Shipping departments regarding product inventory, accurate ship dates, sales order backlog, and correct routing for shipments.
  • Log and document Service Calls and/or Return Material Authorizations in ERP system.
  • Deal with customer complaints/concerns by working with other Bowman dispenser team members including Management, as needed, to successfully resolve customer complaint/concern.
  • Maintain customer contacts, addresses, freight and logo information, etc. in ERP system.
  • Provide weekly verbal summary to Management of current customer activities, workload, and other pertinent information necessary to perform your duties.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Position requires 4-6 yrs experience in Customer Service or equivalent education.
  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt, full-time or part-time position depending on applicant. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours TBD.
